Purpose:
To compare curve analysis of ocular response analyzer (ORA) in 3 groups of patients: 1- involved eye of unilateral keratoconus (KCN); 2- fellow eye of unilateral keratoconus (FKCN); and 3- normal healthy cornea (NL).
Methods:
In 36 patients with proved unilateral keratoconus (with topography) and 36 normal healthy controls; we performed Ocular Response Analyzer (ORA) and curve analysis. We compared values between 3 groups.
Results:
There was significant difference between FKCN and NL groups in many variables of ORA. There was significant difference between FKCN and KCN groups in some variables too.
Conclusion:
Fellow eye of keratoconic patients has different hysteresis profile compared to normal cornea; so unilateral keratoconus may not be really unilateral.
