Purpose:
|
to report a case with upper lid trichoblastoma which is an unusual location for this lesion
|
Methods:
|
A 45-year-old woman presented with a recurrence of right upper lid ulcerated, desquamative, nonumbilicated, nodular mass.incisional biopsy and histologic examination showed a trichoblastoma
|
Results:
|
Histopathologic examination revealed a mass occupying dermal and upper areas of subcutaneous tissue and closely related to the overlying epidermis. tumor composed of tubules of cells with high nuclear-to-cytoplasmic ratios and many islands of basaloid cells in myxoid stroma.the tumor also contained glandular configurations and hair bulbs.

Conclusion:
|
Based on these findings, the tumor was treated as a low-grade neoplasm.so The patient subsequently underwent total excision of recurrent mass.this was the third case of lid trichoblastoma that has been reported.
