Purpose:
to evaluation the result of Triamecinolon acetonide –assisted anterior vitrectomy during complicated Cataract surgery with vitreous loss
Methods:
23 patients had vitreous loss during cataract surgery in 2 years anterior vitrectomy performed carefully in this patients with injection of Triamecinolon acetonide in anterior chamber evaluation of BCVA and post operation complications performed 2 years after surgery
Results:
the mean age of patients is 67 years.(55-79) .BCVA of patients was between 20/50 to 20/20.
One patient had post operation CME .four patients had rising of IOP which treated with topical glaucoma medication.post operation uveitis observed in one patient .corneal edema was 2 weeks after surgery in five patients .R. D and Endophthalmitis did not observe in any patients
Conclusion:
based on BCVA and there were no cases of residual vitreous strands in the anterior chamber and decrease post operative complications, Triamecinolon acetonide –assisted anterior vitrectomy during complicated Cataract surgery with vitreous loss was safe procedure
