Purpose:
TTo comparison the visual and refractive outcomes of one segment versus two-segment femtolaser assisted ICRS Intacs SK implantation in the treatment of keratoconus
Methods:
In this prospective study, 1 or 2 segments of Intacs SK ICRS were implanted using femtolaser in eyes with KCN. Visual, refractive, corneal tomography changes and complications were analyzed over a 6-month follow up
Results:
36 eyes received 1, and 35 eyes had 2 segment. At 6 months, the defocus, SE, mean sphere and cylinder decreased significantly. The Pre op LogMAR UCVA and CDVA increased 0.4 and 2.8. K flat and K steep decreased by a mean of 1.08 and 3.00 D and 2.15 and 3.83 D respectively. 94% and 91% of eyes gained 1-7 line of CDVA.
Conclusion:
FA implantation of one or two segment Intacs SK was safe and effective, leading to significant improvement in UDVA & CDVA
