Purpose:
|
Cataract surgery is the only treatment of cataract. There are some complications after cataract surgery. In this study, a rare case of a cystic lesion is reported after cataract surgery.

Methods:

It was a case report from Kermanshah.
|
Results:
|
A 21-yaer woman who had cataract surgery in both eyes were myopia. The surgery was without lens (aphakia).The Patient after 15 years, Presented with a severe decrease in vision in the right eye. After examination, in place of the posterior capsule, there was cystic lesion with a clear view and loss of vision were due to refractive effects. The cyst was ruptured with laser and fluid was removed. Vision Recovered to its previous state.

Conclusion:
|
Cysts are rare after cataract surgery. Cataracts cannot relapse, but sometimes a thin cloudy membrane developed behind the lens, but developing a cyst is very rare. In such case, rupture the cyst by laser is possible and effective.
