Purpose:
|
Purpose:To describe a surgical
technique using femtosecond laser
incision for management of corneal
granular dystrophy.
|
Methods:
|
Methods:A 35 years-oldfemale,known case of corneal
granular dystrophy with chief complaint of visual acuity decrease underwent sutureless
Femtosecond-assisted Anterior
Lamellar Keratoplasty (FALK) in
right eye by a 1000-KHz FEMTO
LDV laser (Ziemer Ophthalmic
Systems).
|
Results:
|
Result:BCVA with refraction of -1.5-2.5*90 improved
from 1 logMAR preoperatively to 0.1
logMAR with refraction of +3.00-
0.75*105 six months after
surgery.Preoperative keratometry
changed from 43.8/41 to 40.3/39.5
six months postoperatively and
corneal graft was clear.
|
Conclusion:
|
Conclusion:Sutureless
FALK improves wound strength
postoperatively and provides rapid
visual rehabilitation with minimal risk
of corneal graft rejection.
