Purpose:
|
To report the outcomes of surgical procedures for pediatric glaucoma in Labafinejad Medical Center during two decades
|

Methods:
|
In this retrospective study, clinical records of children with primary or secondary glaucoma who had any procedure were studied. Success rate of each glaucoma surgery, frequency of examination under anesthesia and final visual outcome were calculated.

Results:
|
343 eyes were included in this study. 58.8 % of patients was boy and 41.2 percent was girls. Most common procedure as the first surgery was trabeculotomy in 70 % of the cases, after that was combined trabeculectomy with trabeculotomy with 20 % and goniotomy with 7 % . On average examination under unesthesia was done 8 times for each patient.

Conclusion:
|
Trabeculotomy is the most common first glaucoma procedure in Labbafinejad Medical Center. The number of the examination under anesthesia is relatively high in this tertiary center.
