Purpose:
|
To describe the OCT findings in chroidal cloboma.
|
|
Methods:
|
Spectral domain OCT (Heidelberg Engineering) was done in a case of choroidal cloboma with localized subretinal fluid. The OCT findings were described.
|
|
Results:
|
In the cloboma site the choroid and RPE were absent. The retina over the cloboma was abnormal and hypoplastic. The outer retinal layers were absent and the inner retinal layers including nerve fiber layer and inner nuclear and inner plexiform layers were detectable. The NFL was thicker than other layers and the central retina were thinner and more hypoplastic.

Conclusion:

The OCT findings in the choroidal cloboma were similar to previous described pathologic findings as a hypoplastic retina.
